With beautiful views a short (but hard) 20 minute walk away from my parents home I decided to take full advantage of these with a later sunset. At the top of this hill is a building known locally as White Nancy, it used to be a seating area inside but was blocked off years and years ago but can be seen at the top of the hill for miles. It is currently decorated in celebration of the Diamond jubilee.
Hope you enjoy the photographs
I got to the top of the hill at about 9:20 and sat around for 20/25 minutes photographing the sunset

These photos are of various locations from a photography shoot around Bollington, Macclesfield. The first two photographs are marks in the bridge made by rope after years of horses pulling boats along the canal. The second two are of an abandoned gate found on a path, leaning against a wooden fence. The fifth picture is of a garage I found and the last if old parts of a car or something which have been abandoned and let to merge with the surroundings
Hope you enjoy and please comment any thoughts
These were taken last Bonfire night with different shutter speeds to create different effects. Some I wanted to capture a sharp image of the fireworks at their brightest, others I wants to show the fall and the whole effect of the firework.
This photo was taken using 3 sparklers and a long shutter speed, around 2 or 3 seconds where I held all 3 sparklers at once and continuously drew hearts with them until the picture had taken
To be honest I don’t know how I got this effect on the picture.
I took it as soon as I got home from buying my 70s marco lens and in the shop we had been messing around with different ISO settings, f stops and shutter speeds and I cannot remember which ones it was on.
But I like the way it accidentally turned out with the grainy effect complimenting the dark and strong hues making the image look quite old.
Hope you enjoy, feedback always welcome
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, most of my uni friends being Irish I was out all day for St Patricks day and I have been doing a bit of uni work. But I am back with a new post so hopefully you enjoy!
As the weather has been sunny the last few days here in Liverpool (except the poor down of rain last night) I have been feeling really summery so I thought I would post some sunny, bright pictures.
Feedback welcome as always
I took this in a park nearby to where I live at University.
At first the picture was quite unimpressive but I liked the composition and the colours, I just didn’t think they were bright enough.
So I enhanced the saturation and the contrast so it became more like a silhouette with a high contrasting background really showing the intense colours of the sunset.
